How does Hypnotherapy work to help with unwanted habits and behaviours?

Habits can feel hard to break but that’s only because they have become so automatic overtime but that doesn’t mean you can’t change them.  Most of our day is made up from habits that we’ve learned and continue to do every day

It’s interesting to consider, what is a habit?  It’s a behaviour that impacts your life to a point of compulsion, which is detrimental to your everyday life and overall wellbeing.  Originally, a habit may have occurred as a coping mechanism, for example, a time of stress which may have been useful but now through repetition.  A common example of this is when people start smoking, they may start the habit to fit in with others perhaps, yet later in life they realise the way of thinking is no longer needed, yet the habit remains.

Because you’ve become so used to your habit, it becomes part of your everyday life, yet sometimes it can feel debilitating, irritating or frustrating and perhaps you’ve reached the point where you want to change things.

  • Following your initial free 20 minute consultation, either in person or on the phone, we will arrange your appointment at one of our clinics.
  • We will provide you with a questionnaire and preparation to ensure that you’re fully ready when you attend your appointment.
  • We offer a follow up service to consolidate the changes you’ve made during the session.
