About Me

I have been supporting and helping people to make changes to their lives in and around Melton Mowbray and Leicester for over 20 years now.  I believe Counselling and Hypnotherapy are the most effective ways to make some real changes.

Both therapies compliment each other extremely well or they can be used independently of each other.  Hypnotherapy can support and help you in many ways as it allows us to work together to personalise a very special program just for you.  Counselling provides a talking therapy where we can work towards helping you to manage the daily stresses of life or help to find solutions to bigger issues.

I first realised the benefits of Counselling and Hypnotherapy when it helped me to turn my life around when things became really difficult for me. Like many others who have experienced Counselling and Hypnotherapy, it was a life affirming and healing process for me.  Since then I have been fascinated and amazed by the nature of it’s positive effects.  It still astounds me every day, working with a wide range of people to manage their issues.  Therapy is an amazing way to help you feel better, reduce stress and see solutions to your problems more clearly.  When coupled with Hypnotherapy, the effects are even better.

I have two lovely therapy rooms in Melton Mowbray and Leicester.  Working within wellbeing centres where health and wellbeing are at the heart of the group of other Therapists, is my absolute dream job and I enjoy seeing the benefits of helping and supporting people every day.

I worked as a Secondary School Teacher for over 20 years, helping and supporting people every day. I have first hand experience of working in a high stress environment and am well aware of the stresses and strains that work, personal stuff and just, well – ‘life’, can bring. As I still have a love of teaching, I am now a Lecturer at Leicester Adult Education College, where I teach Counselling Skills to trainee Counsellors.  It’s massively rewarding working with learners who share the same enjoyment as me in helping others.

Because of my experience working with children, young people and teachers, helping them to reduce feelings of anxiety and managing stress levels, I work closely with a school in Leicester to continually train Teachers and Support Staff in managing their Wellbeing.  I have also worked as an Emotional Well-being Practitioner at Kooth.com, providing online counselling for children and young people aged between 11 and 25 years old, have a look at our website to see what great things they do: www.kooth.com.

If you suffer with stress, anxiety or think I could help you in any way, give me a call or send me a message.  I know it can be difficult sometimes to reach out but trust me, you will be glad you did!
